This Week at Bella Vino – Bob from RP Imports and Aroma Class Information
Hi Everyone,
Can you believe it’s almost September? Where did this summer go? We plan on extending the summer by offering some fun events in September at Bella Vino. Along with our weekly Thursday and Saturday wine tastings we are offering another “Aroma Therapy” class on Friday, September 25 (see next paragraph for information). I will be sending along information next week announcing Bella Vino’s 2-year anniversary party plans. Also look for information about weekly discounts and savings throughout the month of September. And we might even have a Zinfandel tasting party!
We are happy to announce that back by popular demand we will be holding our second “Aroma Therapy” class, “Unlocking the Mysteries of Wine Aromas”. Steve Fortune and Ambra Kash from F&F Wine Imports will be teaching us how to enjoy and identify wine’s aromas. Steve and Ambra will help us fine tune our sense of smell, the most powerful key to unlocking the flavors of wine. Our aroma class will feature 8 wines (2 white and 6 red) and light refreshments. Join us on Friday, September 25th from 6:00 to 7:30. Cost of the class is $35 and class size is limited. Please drop in or call to reserve your space.Don’t forget to join us this Thursday as Bob will be pouring a delicious French lineup.

But Reuilly can often be a purer version of Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc. ($19.99) 2004 Domaine Diochon – Moulin-a-Vent Cru Beaujolais – Gamay – Burgundy, France – “Cru Beaujolais” are the wines from the ten best zones in Beaujolais. Little B. is produced from the younger vines of the prestigious Chateau Bournac Cru Bourgeois Superieur in the northern Medoc. Vineyards are planted on limestone-clay soil. Aged 1 year in American oak. Rich ruby color with an expressive nose of ripe fruits, prunes, musk and vanilla. Velvety, round and rich on the palate with a hint of spiciness. ($28.99)

These estate vines were planted in the 1940’s. Hot, sunny afternoons mitigated by cool evening Pacific fog characterize the perfect climatic conditions for growing the finest Zinfandel in the region In addition to Valley of the Moon’s estate old-vine grapes, they use Zinfandel grapes from Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley. This world-renowned Zinfandel region adds extra complexity and flavor to the blend. Lovely bouquet; aromas of ripe blackberries, allspice, and caramel.
